Dear Families and Friends, I want to be sure to fill you in on all that is happening. * We will be going on our field trip next Monday. The bus will be leaving around 9:15 and we hope to return a little before 2:00. *We are in need of cups again. As the warm weather approaches the children get thirsty.
Thank you in advance for your generosity. *The reading has become much more difficult. Hang in there. Feel free to help your child if they are struggling. Please drop me a note if homework is becoming stressful and I can help you out. * Our school days are very routine and it is great for the kids, however I have been adding a few things just to keep them focused. One is the” lunch bunch”. I choose one child a day after our reading time and they go on the board as part of my” lunch bunch” group and on Friday we eat lunch together in the classroom. The children are very excited about this and they will all get
a turn .It is just difficult to wait sometimes. * We have also been getting ready for some testing and I have been timing them on their letters to say them as quickly as possible. And they are loving it. Last week I told them we broke the World Record and it just so happened that the world record people called my cell phone right in the middle of reading class. ( imagine that!) You should have seen their eyes, it was priceless. So if you hear a story about breaking world record it is true, well……………. Not really but they think so! Have a great week! Kerry
