Dear Families and Friends,
Great job with the reading homework last week! Please be sure to let me know if homework is a struggle and I will be happy to offer suggestions.
I have many reminders this week!
* Our social skill this week is Using Self control.
*Our new sharing calendar for February is being sent home the theme is to bring in something that you LOVE!
* Thank you for your speedy response to my 100th day note. We are all set with ice cream and toppings to celebrate the 100th day of kindergarten on February 8th.
* I am going to ask the children to bring in 100 of something on the 100th day of school. There is no need to buy anything. You have plenty of items at home pasta, cereal, paperclips, pennies etc.
* Our new unit is all about communication
* I will be out of the classroom on Wednesday to attend a funeral.
*I will also be out next Monday . I will be heading up to Montpelier to attend a statewide discussion on kindergarten transition practices. We will be discussing how schools around the state help to transition preschoolers into kindergarten. Hopefully I will return with some good ideas for next year.
*I have attached a copy of the Valentine Party food list. If you are interested in sending something in just send that back to me. As always I really appreciate your help and generosity.
