Teaching Biography
I graduated from UCLA with a degree in English. After working in the business world in Washington, DC, I decided to return to school to pursue a teaching degree at the University of Vermont. After graduating, I married and started raising a family in Chester and then, Rockingham. For many years I was involved as a parent volunteer, substitute teacher, and Title 1 Reading assistant in the area schools. My first teaching position was in the Windham School, teaching kindergarten through third grade, as well as a fifth grade math group. I was offered a kindergarten position at the Cherry Hill School, which I accepted and stayed at until the school closed. I was transferred to Central Elememtary School and have a taught at several different grade levels, kindergarten through second grade.
