Teaching Biography
I have had the the privilege of teaching at Central Elementary School for the past 23 years. For the first sixteen years, I worked as a first grade teacher. In 2000, our school adopted Success For All as our reading curriculum and I became the facilitator of that program. We have since become a Reading First School, and my responsibilities have dovetailed with those of a reading coach. During the 2007-08 school year, I have shared responsibilities as a reading coach and a fourth grade teacher.
My professional credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Elementary/Special Education from Keene State College and a Masters Degree in Education from Antioch New England Graduate School. I have served on the Vermont Standards Board for Professional Educators and am currently a member of the Windh am County Reads advisory board. I look forward to my ongoing work with the children, families, and staff of Central Elementary School.
